Concept cars are prototype vehicles made for showcasing a new concept, style or technology.
Most often concept vehicles are presented at automotive shows to check customer reaction and
satisfaction to new looks, designs, technologies and radical changes which are still under
consideration whether to go for mainstream production. Most concept cars must undergo at
least some minor changes before the design is completely finnished and is ready for the use
of the masses. Main changes are for the sake of practical use, safety standards and cost reduction.
Occasionally concept cars come equipped with exotic materials like carbon fiber, which are very
expensive even for today's average racing cars, however usage of such technologies in concept cars
attract a lot of media attention and create some sort of hype around the vehicle concept.
